Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I started with a film camera and then came a succession of many digital compacts before purchasing my first DSLR.
Even when photography was just a hobby and using one of my compact cameras, I loved the challenge of setting up shots as well as taking any opportunity to record those more candid moments. I have a real passion for the art of photography, which I can now share with you as a professional portrait and wedding photographer.
Many of the images in my gallery are of my children who, over the years, have allowed me to expand my knowledge and have also driven my passion for photography. Luckily my children are extremely happy to pose for me, allowing me to try new ideas and techniques.
Since joining the Royal Photographic Society over twelve months ago I have been working with the goal to receive a distinction with the society for my portraiture. After selecting my images to submit as my panel I attended an award day on the 5th March 2012 at the Focus on Imaging event at the NEC. My submission was assessed by a qualified panel of senior members of the society and successfully awarded Licentiateship with the society. The society's distinctions are internationally respected and sought after by professional and amateur photographers and the society takes care in maintaining standards and in promoting excellence amongst photographers. I love to photograph people but I also like to try other genres and have included a separate gallery of landscapes, animals and action.
I hope you enjoyed the examples of my photography shown here. I eagerly look forward to working with you soon.
